Martino's Bakery pies was
originally established by Victor
and Eva Martino in 1926, in
a garage behind their home
at Lake and Provindencia.
During World War II pies were discontinued and cake donuts
were baked for other bakeries. |
Our world famous Tea Cake
was developed around 1945
with a suggestion from an
employee of USC Medical
Center in Los Angeles. She
thought it would be easier to
serve large numbers of patients
in the form of a cup cake.

In years past, Martino's Bakery
distributed newsletters, fact sheets
and bulletins to help keep customers
informed of new bakery products.
We were also big on wholesale
distribution which we plan to
continue the tradition. |
